PASADENA, Calif. –Remember being a new parent and the numerous responsibilities you had to learn to protect your infant? Did your instruction include information regarding the proper car seat and how to securely fasten the car seat to your vehicle’s harnessing or seat beat system? Most likely it did not. As a result, your precious child may not be as safe when you drive as you thought. This safety concern extends to the use of booster seats for older child and the requirements and safety protocols related to their well-being.
The Pasadena Police Department and Safety Belt Safe USA take this child safety matter seriously. We are offering a free Safety Seat Checkup to evaluate your child’s car seat position and security. The checkup will be by reservation to expedite the process and save parents’ time. As time permits, drivers without a reservation will be assisted. There will be activities for children while parents/guardians receive instruction from English and Spanish speaking instructors.
DATE: Thursday, March 2, 2017 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
