PASADENA, Calif. — READING BY DESIGN, Pasadena Public Library’s 2017 Summer Reading Program for children, teens and adults offers plenty of special events, programs and prizes for all ages this summer from June 3 to July 29. Join in the fun! Adults and teens can sign up at http://pasadena.readingbydesign.org. Children can register at their local Pasadena Public Library.
Adults, sign up, receive a book bag then record the items you’ve read and programs you’ve attended online. All participants will be entered in the end-of-summer grand-prize drawing awarded at each library site.
Teens ages 12 to 19 can register online to participate. Log in, get a free book and tote bag then enter the books you’ve read, and earn points toward a selection of prizes: bags, phone accessories, USB drives, flashlights, and books!
Children up to 12 years old will receive a free book and bookmark when they register. They’ll improve their reading skills by reading a book of their choice every day and recording the title in their reading record. They’ll also enjoy fun library programs and events featuring musical performers, jugglers, crafts, puppet shows, and more!
The Pasadena Public Library Summer Reading Program is sponsored by The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library. For more information, call (626) 744-4066.
