Calling All Authors


Join us for our 5th Annual Author Fair
Are you a San Gabriel Valley author who would like to participate in our upcoming Author Fair at Pasadena’s Central Library, 285 E. Walnut St. on Friday, October 13, 2017, 6:00 – 10:00 pm at ArtNight?

Pasadena resident authors receive priority sign-up Monday, June 12 – Monday, June 19. After that all San Gabriel Valley authors may sign-up.

If you are interested in participating, please register using this form. Confirmation of registration will be sent.

There is no fee to participate. Space, however, is limited. Registration is on a first come/first served basis.

Author Fair at ArtNight
6 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Pasadena Central Library
285 E. Walnut Street • Pasadena

Set-up Time
5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Author registration requirements:
• Must be a San Gabriel Valley resident
• Must be an author of a published book.
• The book must be appropriate for inclusion in a public library.
• Must sign a form indemnifying PPL from all responsibility for bad sales/theft of books.

Please indicate type of book, ie. fiction, non-fiction, mystery, science fiction, self-help, foreign language.

Authors are responsible for: 
• Organizing their own display
• Selling their book/books
• Keeping all profits

Food, candy, cookies, etc. may not be handed out due to Pasadena Health Department Codes.  Authors may only sell books, craft items may be displayed from craft books but not sold.

Cookbook Authors
May display food from their cookbooks but due to Pasadena Health Department Codes may not offer food to the visitors.

Display Space
Each participating author will receive display space, one half of an existing table, in Pasadena Central Library. Authors will be assigned tables by Pasadena Public Library staff.

All participating authors will be listed in an event program.
