The public is invited to attend Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek’s first State of the City address beginning at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at Pasadena’s McKinley School Gymnasium, 325 S. Oak Knoll Ave.
Mayor Tornek announced he will deliver a budget message using illustrations that look at the City’s finances, including an examination of funding sources and how the City spends its money. A brief Q&A with the audience will follow.
The event is being held in the new multi-purpose gymnasium built in cooperation by the City and the Pasadena Unified School District.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the formal program begins at 7 p.m. Please avoid wearing high heels in order to protect the new gymnasium floor. Vice Mayor Gene Masuda serves as emcee for the evening. Students from the William McKinley TK-8 School will also participate in the program.
KPAS, the City’s cable TV station operated by Pasadena Media, will record the event for broadcast. KPAS is seen on Ch. 3 for Charter cable subscribers and Ch. 99 for AT&T U-verse subscribers. A video stream is also available on the City’s website, www.cityofpasadena.net/Media and Pasadena Media at www.pasadenamedia.tv.
