Pasadena Mental Health Day 2018
“Roads to Empowerment”
Saturday, May 19 • 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, this event is dedicated to raising awareness about mental illness, decreasing the stigma, and increasing knowledge and access to quality mental health services and resources in the community. The event will focus on the significance and benefits of mental and emotional health and practical resources and tools available to empower individuals in coping with and overcoming challenges.
Through keynote speakers, presentations and workshops for youth and adults, attendees will gain knowledge on the current mental health issues and challenges faced today. Find empowerment in awareness and the importance of addressing mental illness and healthy living and discover different paths of healing or coping, and the benefit it has on young children and families.
Resource tables will also be available for attendees to learn more about local mental health services and resources. Separate tracks for youth and adults will be offered. Refreshments will also be provided.
Presented by Pasadena Public Library, Pasadena Public Health Department, Pasadena Mental Health Advisory Committee, and grants from the California State Library Mental Health Initiative and Dare to Dream. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
