Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles presents LAst Resort
Thursday, Sept. 13 • 7 p.m.
Central Library/Donald Wright Auditorium

Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles is a local chapter of an organization dedicated to the advancement, recognition and professional development of women crime writers. The Los Angeles chapter publishes bi-annual anthologies. Come hear from 10 authors who appeared in the LAst Resort anthology about their individual experiences, and why the City of Angels serves as an excellent backdrop for crime and mystery fiction. The event will be moderated by Chapter President Anne Louise Bannon and will showcase Avril Adams, who writes mostly noir or a blend of crime and science fiction; Paula Bernstein, the author of the Hannah Kline Mystery series; Lynne Bronstein, who has become a crime writer; Sarah M. Chen, who writes crime fiction short stories; L. H. Dillman, who has had three short stories published in Sisters In Crime anthologies; Wrona Gall, a sculptor addicted to reading and writing mysteries; Cyndra Gernet, who loves writing short stories and has written many of them, most not crime related; Melinda Loomis, marking her first time as a published author; Georgia Jeffries, who is currently completing a novel of military intrigue; Laurie Stevens, a playwright, screenwriter and novelist; and Mae Woods, who has had stories published in Murder on Sunset Boulevard and LAst Resort.  The anthology will be available for sale and signing.
