Alumni of the Month – Raymond Price
Since Raymond was at Pasadena High School he knew he wanted to become a fire fighter. Upon graduating he immediately enrolled into EMT school to become an EMT/ First Responder in order to begin his journey of becoming a fire fighter. Currently, Raymond works with the City of Altadena for Care Ambulance and runs medical emergencies with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A great gateway into the fire department. No emergency is too big or too small for Raymond. He responds to everything from anxiety attacks, to car accidents, to conducting CPR on someone who has just been pulled out of a burning building.
Raymond feels that the Youth Ambassador Program is extremely great and beneficial to the youth. All of the setting up for events, volunteer work, training’s and workshops, and hands on work with Lola prepared him for real life experiences in a real work environment. It taught him how to understand and work with people which is now beneficial to him for his current field of work and career path. Raymond also enjoyed the fact that he got to work along side his high school peers as well as meet and befriend students from the surrounding schools. “It made work fun” says Raymond.
” Lola was a great example and role model to all. To any of you thinking about joining the Ambassador Program, or are already in it, I highly encourage you to take full advantage of it because you will definitely appreciate it in the long run! “ – Raymond Price
