Art Contest Winner and Finalists Announced

Each year PWP partners with the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) to hold the "Water is Life" Art Contest. Pasadena students, from grades K-12, are all able to apply; artwork submissions were due in early July 2021. PWP selects one first-place winner, as well as numerous finalists whose artwork is all submitted to MWD for consideration in their annual Student Art Calendar.

First Place Winner

This year's first-place prize goes to 5th grader Arundhati, of Sierra Madre Elementary School. Our judges loved the message of her artwork, "Help Mother Nature Continue to Give Life... Save Water!" Congratulations to Arundhati!

An additional seven finalists have been selected for the MWD final round of consideration. We're hopeful that our students' artwork will be represented in the 2022 Art Calendar! Stay tuned to find out which of these students will receive that honor.
