As PWP updates the 2018 Power Integrated Resource Plan (Power IRP), we will work collaboratively with the community to determine the best mix of energy supply options to achieve Pasadena’s reliability and environmental stewardship goals while maintaining competitive electric rates. PWP will host two community meetings on July 18 and August 23 to discuss the Power IRP effort. PWP will provide a general overview of the development process, discuss renewable energy options, and seek community input.

Thursday, August 23 at 6 to 8 p.m.

The Power IRP is a long-range resource planning and policy document for determining the best energy resources for Pasadena to pursue. PWP has made significant progress toward achieving the goals established in previous Power IRPs, including the repowering of local gas-fired generation, reduction in greenhouse gases, and increase in renewable energy resources.
As with past IRPs, PWP is seeking community input as an essential part of the development process. Customers can participate by taking the 2018 Power IRP Survey.
