PWP is now accepting applications for its annual Educational Scholarship. One high school senior from Pasadena will be chosen to receive a $5,000 award towards college expenses. The program is open to students from both public and private schools.
Students must submit an application, academic transcripts, and write an essay on the topic of sustainability. Applicants must live within PWP’s service territory, be currently enrolled as a high school senior in the City of Pasadena, and provide proof of acceptance for the 2018-19 school year at an accredited two-year or four-year post-secondary institution. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, May 11, 2018.

A renewable resource is defined as a resource that is replaced naturally and can be used again in the environment. Examples of renewable resources include solar energy, greywater, hydropower, recycled water and wind power, to name a few. Keep in mind that often times renewable resources incorporate the use of both water and energy.
Part 1: Using your educational experience and research skills, come up with a new technology or invention that will allow Pasadena residents or businesses to become more energy and/or water efficient.

- Take into consideration cost, sustainability and accessibility of your technology or invention
